This is a note for the Ringing Wet story: For Misty to get her wicked brother back, (Simon) her dad told Simon and her to keep quiet for the longest period of time. The first person to speak loses the bet, and the other person is awarded $50. Misty plans that she will win $50 and her brother will be really cut.

Misty has a vivid imagination, like her father says. She is like an adventurer and an explorer. She suspects Mr. Grunge to bury his wife, by murder.

This is a note/inference for the Ringing Wet story: I infer that Misty is aged 8-10 because she wets her pants often. Teenagers will never or unlikely to wet their pants. It is improbable for teenagers to wet their pants. Adults OBVIOUSLY NEVER wets their own pants. (it would be hilarious and unreal if adults happen to wet their pants)

I would like to summarize the Ringing Wet story:
Basically, it presents Misty, a young girl who possesses a desire to become famous. Unfortunately, her wet-blanket brother, taunted Misty for spying on Mr. Grunge. Her dad stated that it is not good to eavesdrop on somebody else. She decided to get her brother back by retaliating. In this story, there are times that your brother teases you when you are born or when you are at a young age. When you possess a desire to become a famous detective, it is hard to achieve that because of plenty of obstacles. You have to use your knowledge of what you have to overcome the obstacle. Even if you have to make mistakes, you still learn. Misty here decided to ask her dad for a solution to the bed-wetting problem because it is really getting on her nerves. It is certain that you may have to comply with your parents first before you can do something that your parents may not allow, so your desires are not easy to acquire. In conclusion, this short story by Paul Jennings conveys a message that you have to take risks to reach your goal.
